Have you ever done something stupid? Really, really stupid?
Me, I do stupid things all the time, but I try not to dwell on them too much. But recently I did something that I can’t stop thinking about, something I really regret doing.
I deleted my newsletter mailing list. It wasn’t a huge list, but it was slowly growing, and it was a way for me to speak directly to people who were interested in what I’m doing. I was sending out a newsletter each month, talking about it on my website, and on social media, and hoping to grow a dedicated follower base. But then I went and deleted it! It wasn’t a moment of malicious self destruction – I do plenty of that too – it was a complete accident. An irreversible accidental deletion of the entire list! There is supposed to be an Undo function, but that isn’t working, so the list is gone, lost to the mists of time.
