Animation

For more than thirty years Niel Bushnell has worked as an animator director and producer for film, television and games. After leaving college, Niel trained in London at Uli Meyer Studios, a 2D animation and FX house. While there, Niel worked on numerous commercials, TV projects and several feature films, including Space Jam, Lost in Space and Felidae.

Since 1998 Niel has worked on various computer game projects, providing in-game animation, cinematic story-boarding & direction, character design and concept art.

In 2002, Niel established his own animation studio providing animation and visual effects for a broad range of TV shows such as Hyperdrive, The Dumping Ground and The Windsors , plus computer games projects including Reservoir Dogs, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Driver: San Francisco.

In recent years, Niel has taught illustration and animation at two different universities, and has been Cinematic Discipline Lead for Atomhawk Design working across a broad range of game-based animated projects including Mortal Kombat 1 and Age of Empires IV: The Sultans Ascend.
